Crosspoint of turnouts

The crosspoint of turnouts is a device providing wheels traveling along one path, the ability to cross a railroad of another path. It provides continuous troughs for the passage of the crests of the wheels and supports the wheels in the intersection of the gutters. Crossings are divided into two types: fixed crossings – without moving parts and crossings, in which one weft is moved outward to create a groove for passing the crests of the wheels.

Components (knots): Crossings of switches are made of special steel.

Normative documents: They must comply with the requirements of clauses 7, 12, 16, 23a, 23b of Article 4 of the technical regulations of the Customs Union TR CU 003/2011 “On the safety of the railway transport infrastructure”. They are manufactured in accordance with the requirements of GOST 7370-2015 “Railway crossings. Technical conditions ».

  • single production – scheme 7C.
  • party – scheme 1C or 6C.
  • batch production – 4C.


The cost of certification works for crosses of turnouts consists of the cost of the main work for certification, as well as tests of selected samples of a certain type. And it depends on the certification scheme chosen by the applicant.
