Russian and Chinese partners have started the development of a feasibility study for the first section of the SCM – the Moscow-Kazan highway.

As Andrey Denisov said: Russia and China are already developing a feasibility study (feasibility study) of the first section of the Moscow-Kazan high-speed highway (VSM). And “Practical work” is planned already in 2018.

Discussions of the project are still ongoing. Russian, as well as Chinese partners are very interested in this project.

A little about the project:

VSM Moscow-Kazan is part of a large project by Russian Railways to create the Eurasia Spacecraft. The project assumes the possible participation of Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Germany and Poland.

VSM will pass through the territory of 7 constituent entities of the Russian Federation: Moscow and Moscow region, Vladimir and Nizhny Novgorod regions, the Chuvash Republic, the Republic of Mari El and the Republic of Tatarstan. Further development of the line provides for its extension to Ekaterinburg.

The total length of the Beijing-Moscow-Berlin highway will be about 9.5 thousand km. According to preliminary forecasts, about 41 million people will be transported to the SCM annually by 2030, by 2050 – 58 million.
